The 42K Valencia Trinidad Alfonso is more than a marathon. It is an experience with a running atmosphere that you can feel from your arrival in the city till you cross the finish line in the City of Arts and Sciences. Valencia becomes on the city of running, an ideal destination to feel the marathon.

The Valencia Marathon was the first Spanish marathon to receive the Gold Label Road Race awarded by the World Athletics in 2016, and which has been renewed year after year thanks to the great organizational results of the event until it received the World Athletics Elite Platinum Label in 2020 that only a few events in the world have. It is also the best Spanish marathon for several years in a row, a title awarded by the RFEA.

As the vast majority of the runner community already knows, Valencia is a flat city which makes the route very fast, in fact, Valencia is the fastest marathon on Spanish soil and one of the fastest in the world together with Berlin, London, Milan, Dubai, Rotterdam or Chicago, for example.

The entire event is based on the City of Arts and Sciences, where the start and the finish line are located.

The marathon starts from the Monteolivete Bridge and enters the city, with a one-lap route that seeks to take its runners through large streets and avenues so as not to form crowds and to run well from the first meter, and which also it serves as a tourist tour of the city until reaching an incredible finish line over the water. In addition, we cannot forget the always faithful Valencian supporters and the more than 150 official supporting points throughout the route.

Cancellations can be made in writing subject to the following conditions:

Registration

Personal, non-transferable and NON-REFUNDABLE, due to the rules of the event organizers.

Hotel

Until June 30st: the amounts paid shall be refunded without penalty except for a handling fee of 50€ per person.
From July 1st: cancellation shall incur a 25% penalty.
From August 1st: cancellation shall incur a 50% penalty.
From September 1st: cancellation shall incur a 75% penalty.
From October 1st: cancellation shall incur a penalty of up to 100% depending on the date of the request and our suppliers’ policy.

Flights

Airline tickets shall be reimbursed according to the booking conditions established by the airline.

At Travelmarathon we know that many of the runners prefer to book their flights on their own, whatever the reason, so we won’t give you any problems if you decide to book the flights on your own, although we can always help you manage them according to your needs and include them in the package.

If you want to include them in the final package, you just have to tell us the city from where you would like to travel and the time of day, and we will find the best option for your needs.

The airport to travel to Valencia is the Valencia Airport (VLC) located in the town of Manises 10km west of the city and is one of the important airports in Spain with many international connections.

It is also possible to reach Valencia from various points in Spain by high-speed train. The station in Valencia is Valencia Joaquín Sorolla.

Both from the airport and from the train station it is very easy to get to the city by public transport and they have taxi ranks.
