A marathon along the Siena River

The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is always a great decision. Thousands of runners are proving this by traveling to the City of Light to run 42 kilometers. A World Athletics Elite Label category event in a city that offers more than just running is always a success, as Paris is the ideal destination to travel with companions to enjoy together the extraordinary monumental and cultural legacy of the capital of France.

The route isn’t the fastest one, but definitely the favourite one for many runners. It passes through the heart of Paris and it won’t disappoint you. Just like the city itself, it’s a very beautiful race. It starts in the Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous avenues in the world and then passes through the most iconic areas in Paris. You’ll be able to admire Concorde Square, the Louvre Museum, Bastille, Notre Dame, the Musée d’Orsay, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. One of our favourite parts of the course is the one of the banks of the Seine River.

On top of that, the Paris Marathon runner’s expo is enormous where you will be able to find more than 200 stands, related to sports and your passion.

And the journey does not have to end by crossing the finish line of the marathon, because in Paris there is the opportunity to cross the door that separates reality from dreams. As an extension of the trip, we offer you the chance to enjoy Disneyland® Paris. A spectacular place where children and not so children can experience the charm of stories and all the admired Disney classics.

It is more than a theme park, it is a destination of endless fun where you can discover more than 50 attractions, shows, parades and parades that offer immense entertainment opportunities for the whole family.

Whether it’s tickets to the park to spend the day or accommodation in one of the hotels in the park for your stay of one or several nights, there will be no problem to include these extra services in your package to travel to the Paris Marathon.

Hay muchas urbes consideradas “la ciudad de la luz”, pero no hay ninguna como la capital francesa. Enamórate de su magia con este tour nocturno por París. Duración: 2h Incluye: Guía en español y transporte en autobús. Itinerario Nos reuniremos a la hora indicada en la Plaza de la Ópera para comenzar este tour nocturno a pie por París. El edificio de la Ópera o Academia Nacional de la Música, también conocido como Palacio Garnier, será el primer punto de interés en nuestra ruta. Allí repasaremos la historia de este emblemático edificio de la capital francesa. Continuaremos por el Boulevard des Capucines hasta la iglesia de la Madeleine. Desde aquí nos acercaremos hasta la Plaza de la Concordia, donde comienza la famosa avenida de los Campos Elíseos. Después, bajaremos hasta el conjunto monumental formado por el Grand y Petit Palais para cruzar el Sena por el Puente de Alejandro III. Desde este lugar obtendremos unas fantásticas vistas de la cúpula de los Inválidos. Bajo ella se encuentra el sarcófago de Napoleón Bonaparte. Proseguiremos a orillas del Sena para pasar junto al Puente del Alma, escenario del trágico accidente donde falleció la princesa Diana de Gales. Allí terminaremos el tour nocturno dos horas después del inicio.

The official currency in France is the Euro €, so if you are traveling from a country with a different currency, don’t worry as we have the perfect solution for you.

We can show you the easiest way to exchange the exact currency amount you need so that you don’t have to exchange large amounts to be able to travel or pay extortionate fees.

We also offer another option to use local ATMs without fees and pay in stores with the local currency. You can then exchange any remaining amount that you haven’t used back into your local currency so that you don’t have to spend it all before going back home.

The race organisers require runners to submit a medical certificate signed and stamped by a registered physician, issued at most 1 year before the race. We will send you this document once the booking has been confirmed.
The runner’s area includes the bag drop area and the starting boxes are slightly separated from each other, so it is advisable to go with enough time to spare.
Despite having a reputation for being tough and demanding, the course is beautiful, which will help you push through.
Paris Orly Airport is quite far from the city. Getting there by public transport requires several changes, so we recommend booking a transfer as it is easy to get lost if you don’t know the way. It’s easier to reach the city by public transport from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, though you’ll need to keep some things in mind.

PAYMENT METHODS

Single payment: pay the total amount when the booking is confirmed.

Two installments: pay in 2 interest-free installments.

First installment: 25% when your booking is confirmed.
Second installment: remaining 75% 45 days after your booking is confirmed..

Three installments: pay in 3 interest-free installments.

First installment: 25% when your booking is confirmed.
Second installment: 50% 30 days after your booking is confirmed.
Last installment: remaining 25% 60 days after your booking is confirmed.

Four installments: pay in 4 interest-free installments.

First installment: 25% when your booking is confirmed.
Second installment: 30% 30 days after your booking is confirmed.
Third installment: 30% 60 days after your booking is confirmed.
Last installment: remaining 15% 90 days after your booking is confirmed.

* For bookings made less than 90/60/30 days before the date of the event, payment in installments may be subject to different terms or not be available.

** The travel agency reserves the right to cancel the booked trip in the event of non-compliance with the established payment policy.

Cancellations can be made in writing subject to the following conditions:

Registration

Personal, non-transferable and NON-REFUNDABLE, due to the rules of the event organizers.

Hotel

Until November 30th: the amounts paid shall be refunded without penalty except for a handling fee of 50€ per person.
From December 1st: cancellation shall incur a 25% penalty.
From January 1st: cancellation shall incur a 50% penalty.
From February 1st: cancellation shall incur a 75% penalty.
From March 1st: cancellation shall incur a penalty of up to 100% depending on the date of the request and our suppliers’ policy.

Flights

Airline tickets shall be reimbursed according to the booking conditions established by the airline.

At Travelmarathon we know that many of the runners prefer to book their flights on their own, whatever the reason, so we won’t give you any problems if you decide to book the flights on your own, although we can always help you manage them according to your needs and include them in the package.

If you want to include them in the final package, you just have to tell us the city from where you would like to travel and the time of day, and we will find the best option for your needs.

The airports to travel to Paris are the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) located 26km northeast of the city and is the second busiest airport in Europe; and Paris Orly Airport (ORY) located 18km south of the city and the second largest in the city and in the country.

Both airports are large and have many international connections, and have good access to public transport and a taxi rank to get to the city.
