One of the fastest half marathons in the world

The EDP Meia Maratona de Lisboa is one of the world’s most iconic races, recognized with the prestigious World Athletics Elite Label and part of the SuperHalfs circuit. This event has witnessed historic records, including the world mark set by Zersenay Tadese in 2010 with a time of 58:23 and the impressive record by Jacob Kiplimo, who completed the race in 57:31 in 2021, both of which have since been surpassed.

With a mostly flat course and a spectacular start on the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, this race is perfect for both first-time runners and experienced athletes looking to achieve a personal best.

Additionally, the event features a parallel 10K race, starting and finishing at the same location, offering an ideal alternative for companions or those who prefer a shorter distance.

The start of the Lisbon Half Marathon is a truly unique moment as it takes place on the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, an exclusive privilege reserved for runners on this special day. From there, participants enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the majestic Tagus River, creating an unforgettable race start.

The course moves towards the Alcântara district before turning in the direction of the historic Belém Tower, one of Lisbon’s most emblematic landmarks. The finish line is set in front of the imposing Jerónimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage architectural masterpiece.

Lisbon, with its blend of tradition and modernity, not only offers a spectacular racecourse but also an unparalleled cultural and gastronomic experience. The Lisbon Half Marathon is more than just a sporting event, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore one of Europe’s most fascinating cities.

The Lisbon Half Marathon is part of the SuperHalfs circuit together with the Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia half marathons. All these events were chosen, among other details, for being a Gold Label Road Race by the World Athletics, and for being events where world distance records have been broken or for hosting the World Half Marathon Championship.

The SuperHalfs circuit is a great way to travel to these excellent races and beautiful cities. And completing the course is rewarded by both the organizers and us.

When you complete the circuit, the organization will give you the SuperMedal, but if you also travel with us to all these events to complete the circuit, we will give you a special gift so you can celebrate your achievement and enjoy like a great SuperFinisher.

The starting point of the event is on the 25 de Abril Bridge and the only way to reach this location is through the transportation provided by the organization, no other means of access are available. For this reason, our group will arrive at the starting area via a private bus.
The course is very fast, so runners should keep up the pace on the way down from the bridge.
The finish line is located in the Belém district, an area that is connected to the city centre by tram or bus.
The Lisbon Airport is very well connected by metro, so you will have no problem getting to the hotel and back to the airport.

Registration

Personal, non-transferable and NON-REFUNDABLE, due to the rules of the event organizers. (95€ – 21K | 50€ – 10K)

Hotel

Until October 4th: the amounts paid shall be refunded without penalty except for a handling fee of 100€ per person.
From October 5th: cancellation shall incur a 25% penalty.
From November 5th: cancellation shall incur a 50% penalty.
From December 5th: cancellation shall incur a 75% penalty.
From January 5th: cancellation shall incur a penalty of up to 100% depending on the date of the request and our suppliers’ policy.

Flights

Airline tickets shall be reimbursed according to the booking conditions established by the airline.

That’s why we offer complete flexibility: if you decide to book your flights on your own, there will be no issue. However, if you’d like assistance, we’re more than happy to help you arrange them and include them in your travel package according to your preferences.

If you prefer to add flights to your package, all we need is your departure city and preferred time frame, and we’ll find the best option suited to your needs.

The airport to travel to Lisbon is Lisbon Airport (LIS) located in the urban area between Loures and Lisbon and 7km north of the city. It is very well connected to the city by public transport and a taxi rank.
