In September 2026, the Copenhagen Half Marathon will become the epicenter of the global running scene as it hosts the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 26. This event is set to bring together over 65.000 runners, including the world’s best and fastest athletes, who will compete in the Half Marathon, 5K, and One Mile distances, racing through the city’s most iconic streets.

El Medio Maratón de Copenhague forma parte del circuito SuperHalfs junto con los medio maratones de Lisboa, Praga, Berlín, Cardiff y Valencia. Todos estos eventos fueron elegidos, entre otros detalles, por ser World Athletics Gold Label Road Race, y por ser eventos donde se han conseguido batir récords mundiales de la distancia o por albergar el World Half Marathon Championship (Mundial de Medio Maratón).

The official currency in Denmark is the Danish Krone DKK, so if you are traveling from a country with a different currency, don’t worry as we have the perfect solution for you.

We can show you the easiest way to exchange the exact currency amount you need so that you don’t have to exchange large amounts to be able to travel or pay extortionate fees.

We also offer another option to use local ATMs without fees and pay in stores with the local currency. You can then exchange any remaining amount that you haven’t used back into your local currency so that you don’t have to spend it all before going back home.

Single payment: pay the total amount when the booking is confirmed.

Two installments: pay in 2 interest-free installments.

First installment: 25% when your booking is confirmed.
Second installment: remaining 75% 45 days after your booking is confirmed.

Three installments: pay in 3 interest-free installments.

First installment: 25% when your booking is confirmed.
Second installment: 50% 30 days after your booking is confirmed.
Last installment: remaining 25% 60 days after your booking is confirmed.

Cancellations can be made in writing subject to the following conditions:

Registration

Personal, non-transferable and NON-REFUNDABLE, due to the rules of the event organizers. (120€ – 21K | 50€ – 5K)

Hotel

Until March 31st: the amounts paid shall be refunded without penalty except for a handling fee of 100€ per person.
From April 1st: cancellation shall incur a 25% penalty.
From May 1st: cancellation shall incur a 50% penalty.
From June 1st: cancellation shall incur a 75% penalty.
From July 1st: cancellation shall incur a penalty of up to 100% depending on the date of the request and our suppliers’ policy.

Flights

Airline tickets shall be reimbursed according to the booking conditions established by the airline.

At Travelmarathon, we understand that many runners prefer to arrange their flights independently for various reasons. That’s why we offer complete flexibility: if you decide to book your flights on your own, there will be no issue. However, if you’d like assistance, we’re more than happy to help you arrange them and include them in your travel package according to your preferences.

If you prefer to add flights to your package, all we need is your departure city and preferred time frame, and we’ll find the best option suited to your needs.

The airport to travel to Copenhagen is Copenhagen Airport (CPH), the largest in Denmark and is located on the island of Amager.

About 10km southeast of the city, the connection with the city is good as it is connected to the city by means of public transport and taxis.
